MORE THAN A PARTNERSHIP:M&P GROUP HELPING CAMBRIAN UNITED GIVE BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY

Cambrian United FC | Community & Commercial Feature

At Cambrian United, we believe a partnership should never simply be transactional.

It shouldn’t just be about a logo on a board, a name on a shirt or an invoice at the end of the season. It should be about becoming part of the Cambrian family, sharing our values and helping us make a genuine difference across our community.

This weekend was the perfect example of exactly what that means.

As Cambrian United welcomed Llandudno to the M&P 3G, additional sponsorship from The M&P Group allowed us to open our doors and offer free admission to children from across Rhondda Cynon Taf.

But the impact went further than free tickets.

Before the Cymru Premier fixture, four local Under-10 teams were invited to the M&P 3G to take part in a round-robin tournament, giving young players from our local communities the opportunity to play on the pitch before staying to experience top-flight Welsh domestic football.

For us, that is what partnership should look like.

INVESTING BACK INTO RCT

The support from The M&P Group wasn’t simply a commercial transaction between a business and a football club.

It was a local business helping a local football club reach further into its community and remove barriers for young people who may otherwise not have had the opportunity to experience Cymru Premier football.

We want young people across Rhondda, Cynon and Taff to feel that Cambrian United represents them.

We want them to come through our gates, watch our players, meet their friends, enjoy the matchday experience and hopefully leave wanting to come back again.

Partnerships such as the one we have with The M&P Group help us make that possible.

A GENUINELY LOCAL PARTNER

When we describe The M&P Group as a local partner, we genuinely mean it.

The business has strong roots within RCT and particularly Clydach Vale, providing employment within the area and continually supporting local sport and local people.

Their involvement in sport extends far beyond Cambrian United, with support for local athletes including professional boxer Liam Williams and their strong connection with Cambrian Welfare RFC.

The Huntley family themselves have a proud sporting connection to the community, with Julian Huntley ,Jonah Huntley and Jackson Huntley both having played key roles with Cambrian Welfare RFC .

That sporting and community heritage is one of the reasons the partnership between our organisations works so well.

The M&P Group is a family business built around values that align closely with our own: community, opportunity, hard work and looking after the area that has supported you.

WHY THE M&P 3G MEANS SOMETHING

The M&P Group also hold the naming rights to our home, which is why our ground proudly carries the name The M&P 3G.

For us, that name represents far more than a traditional naming-rights agreement.

Every academy player who trains there, every child who attends their first Cambrian United game, every community team that steps onto the pitch and every supporter who comes through the gates is part of what we are trying to build.

This weekend demonstrated exactly what can happen when a football club and its partners share the same ambition for their community.

• Four local junior teams playing football at our home.

• Children from across RCT being given the opportunity to watch Cymru Premier football for free.

• Local families coming together at the M&P 3G.

That is the impact of partnership.

BECOME PART OF THE CAMBRIAN FAMILY

As Cambrian United continues to grow, we want to work with businesses that don’t simply want to sponsor a football club.

We want partners who want to become part of it.

Businesses that want to engage with our supporters, support our academy, help us reach our communities and create opportunities for the next generation across RCT.

Because at Cambrian United, partnership isn’t simply about what a business can do for the football club. It’s about what we can achieve together for our community.

We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to everyone at The M&P Group for their continued belief in Cambrian United and, most importantly, their continued investment in the people and communities around us.

Rhondda. Cynon. Taff. Together, we are Cambrian United.
