Cambrian United FC brought together players, volunteers, supporters, sponsors and club officials to celebrate a truly historic 2025/26 campaign at the club’s End of Season Awards Evening.
Hosted by Sophie Davis, the evening reflected on one of the greatest seasons in the club’s history, with Cambrian securing promotion to the JD Cymru Premier for the very first time and becoming the first club from the Rhondda since 1997 to reach the top tier of Welsh domestic football.

Opening the evening, Head of Operations Joshua Evans thanked everyone connected to the football club for their support throughout his first season at Cambrian United.
“I truly hope you have enjoyed this season as much as I have, because what a season it has been. I’m incredibly proud to say I’m part of Cambrian United Football Club.”
The evening recognised success across every level of the football club. Alongside the men’s first team achieving promotion, the women’s side secured a second-place finish after another outstanding campaign, while the reserves lifted the Rhondda League Championship and the development side finished third in the FAW Development League. The club’s disability programme was also recognised for its continued growth and progress throughout the year.
A special moment early in the evening saw the club recognise the incredible work of its volunteers, with a number of key individuals thanked for their tireless support behind the scenes throughout the season.
