Cambrian United are back on the road this Friday evening as the Cam Army make the long journey north to face Caernarfon Town at The Oval in the Novira Cymru Premier.
Kick-off is 7:45pm on Friday 18 September, with Liam Williams’ side heading into Matchday 10 following an excellent run of results.
Cambrian building momentum
United travel north after an impressive 4-0 away victory over Trefelin on Tuesday night, which followed Friday’s 2-1 home victory against Holywell Town. Those results mean Cambrian have taken eight points from their last four league matches, having also drawn 2-2 against both Cardiff Met and Penybont.
The recent run is another encouraging sign for the newly promoted side as we continue our first campaign at the top level of Welsh domestic football.
The opposition
Caernarfon will provide another significant test. The Cofis have enjoyed a strong start to the campaign and come into Friday following a 1-1 draw away at Llandudno on Tuesday.
That result followed two convincing victories, with Caernarfon beating Ammanford 5-0 and Flint Town United 3-0earlier this month.
The atmosphere at The Oval is always one of the standout features of a trip to Caernarfon, and Friday provides another opportunity for Cambrian to test ourselves against established Cymru Premier opposition.
On the road together
It has been a demanding week for the squad, with Friday representing our second away fixture in the space of four days following Tuesday’s trip to Trefelin.
But confidence is growing within the group, and the players will head north looking to build on the performances and results of recent weeks.
