Cambrian United Hot Steppers produced a magnificent performance to be crowned 2026 Coalfield Classic Cup Champions following an outstanding unbeaten campaign at this year’s prestigious walking football tournament.
Held annually as part of the Coalfield Cup celebrations, the tournament brings together teams from former mining communities and celebrates the very best of grassroots football, community spirit, and friendship. This year’s women’s walking football competition featured eight teams all competing for the coveted title.
The Hot Steppers were in exceptional form throughout the day, remaining unbeaten across all eight matches. Recording seven victories and one draw, they finished the tournament as deserving champions, showcasing tremendous teamwork, determination, and quality from the first whistle to the last.
Their success is another significant milestone for the team, who continue to go from strength to strength while representing Cambrian United Football Club and the local community with pride.
